Sneak Preview: TMRE 2013 – The Changing Beat of the Research Organization

Across industries, and especially in recent trying economic times, organizations are becoming leaner and less able to respond to the myriad of requests coming from their business partners. Research professionals are under immense pressure to deliver value and measurable business impact in record speed. However, they can be so busy “conducting” research that they often can’t put their best thinking around how to action the insights and drive change. This is especially true in the dynamic and fast-moving world of technology products and services.

One way that organizations are able to meet this challenge is through extension teams that augment their own internal research teams to increase strategic bandwidth at a cost advantage. Extension teams can help address challenges such as:

  • accessing and assimilating huge amounts of information;
  • harmonizing this information, from a multitude of sources in order to deliver integrated insights based on an authentic 360 degree view;
  • And finally, leveraging this synthesis to provide actionable business advice and consultation.

The Market Research Event (TMRE) from IIR USA was conceived on the notion that research deserved a seat at the table. As one of the largest research events of the year, this event never disappoints and continues to stay relevant to industry professionals with an all-star cast of speakers and attendees. Last year, blueocean market intelligence was fortunate to be a sponsor and speaker on this large research event stage, and we are pleased to be so again this year.

Especially relevant, TMRE 2013 focuses on elevating the researcher to a strategic consultative leader – at the forefront of setting strategy, exposing new opportunities and mitigating risk. Together blueocean market intelligence and Microsoft will present a best-in-class business case on Tuesday, October 22 that demonstrates how using extension teams can build capacity, generate integrated insights and drive business impact.

 Certainly at blueocean, we are excited about TMRE this year and hope you can join us next month in “Music City” Nashville. We look forward to being inspired by other visionary leaders and listening to other high quality presentations.
